I found this to be a fabulous book. Cochrane is the real-life hero that Horatio Hornblower and Jack Aubrey of Master and Commander is based on. All those exploits in those movies were real! The story is very well done and gripping, reading almost like fiction. Cochrane had his problems, but he was a true hero and a great man.
