Clink is a robot who plays the radio and makes toast. The other robots in the shop are fancier and are eventually sold. Clink tries very hard to be like the other robots and show what he can do, but no one wants him. Clink grows rusty on the shelf. One day a boy comes in and looks at everything. The boy is about to leave while playing his harmonica. Clink starts dancing and playing his radio. The boy takes him home.

Why I recommend it: The little robot has a spark of being different and it's good to show that different isn't always bad. The illustrations are colorful. It's a story about being accepted for who you are.
