This is the 4th volume in the Claymore series and was another excellent installment in this series. This series continues to be a very well done dark fantasy series, full of excellent characters and stunning action scenes.

Teresa did the unthinkable in protecting Clare, she killed humans. Now Teresa has to deal with the aftermath of that. There is a bounty on her head and other Claymores are tasked with killing the rogue Teresa once and for all. Teresa continually tries to convince Clare to stay in towns along the way, but Clare insists on following Teresa.

Now we are following Clares story before she became a Claymore and it is fascinating to read about her background. We watch Clare and Teresa interact a lot. Both of them have changed some; Teresa is starting to feel human emotion and Clare is starting to have more of a sense of self worth.

We meet quite a few new Claymore as well and learn about how they are ranked by ability. There are some absolutely spectacular fight scenes between the Claymore too.

The whole series continues to be well drawn with excellent action scenes, wonderful characters, and a fascinating story.

Overall this was a wonderful continuation to this story. I am excited to see what happens next. I would definitely recommend this whole manga series to anyone who loves action-packed dark fantasy manga.

Claymore just gets more and more involving and as it does so, I just get that much deeper into my appreciation of this series. The story continues Clare's backstory/history in this volume, depicting the intensifying bond/relationship between Claymore Teresa and village girl Clare. Tragedy strikes, endangering Teresa, as she is forced to break Claymore rules in order to save Clare, causing her own life to be forfeit to the Claymore community for breaking the rules.

We meet the fearsome Priscilla, who has been sent to kill Teresa and who seems to be quite capable of the task if Teresa isn't careful. Teresa has already taken out one squad of assassin Claymores, but can she handle this new, higher-ranking team of assassins? How can she get the nightmare to end? And what will become of Clare if Teresa is killed?
