Delightful! If you like simple mysteries and animals, this is a good book to read. Also enjoyed learning more about Virgina and the beautiful scenery in that area.

Not the best of the Mrs. Murphy mystery series, but still a good read. If you enjoy a mystery series with good character development, this is one for you. I used to live over the mountain from Crozet in Harrisonburg, so it's also nice to read about places I've been.

Love the series with detective animals-although I do look at my cats and wonder....

Rita and her crew are always fun and interesting. Great characters.
Yet another delightful Mrs. Murphy title. Did you know that one was made into a TV movie with Rickie Lake? Great read!
Great and enjoyable mystery. Your going love it!
Another great Mrs Murphy Book
Great book by Rita Mae Brown. I absolutely love reading her stories! This one is as good as you can get!
When a body turns up in the basement of the local hospital and a chain letter is found in the office of the newly deceased hospital worker, the story begins.
Did the chain letter have anything to do with it? What is happening at Crozet's hospital that has people dying?
A normal character beloved by the towns folk in the series meets an untimely end in this issue from the Mrs. Murphy series.
As the body count rises, Harry almost becomes one of the numbers! Rick and Cynthia, Albermarle County law enforcement officials, are trying to get to the bottom of this.
Mim's heartbreak gets a public view at the scene of the death of one of the citizens.
A very good read, the book flies by as twists and turns abound as the story unfolds.

Very good.
These are the best mysteries with an added pet touch! You will laugh until you cry at the antics of the pets, and enjoy a wonderfully written mystery!
I didn't like this one as well as the other Mrs. Murphy title I've read. Perhaps the more she writes, the better she gets at crafting story.
It took me a while to catch the author's style and to be able to sort the names of the players, the human as well as the four-legged. the storyline was interesting, and I liked the use of real places in the storyline. not necessarily the town or Crozet, I don't know if exists in name or in fancy, and it doesn't matter, but the author drew me in with the references to other places of my acquaintance, and I was hooked.
the plot was somewhat fiendish, I mean the perpetrator almost had to be one of the people we knew, you know, like, "the butler did it." but not quite. trying to keep up, let alone get ahead of the plot was a good challenge. I liked it. I'd be looking for more books by this author, and being animal fanciers, I'll probably send it back for my wife and daughters to read, as well. loved the canine/feline dialog, although that's what took me a while to understand who the real players were. yup, I liked it.

Very good story, one of the best so far. Love the characters and the animals.
