I really enjoyed this second book in the series. I enjoyed it as much as the first if not more. I loved seeing Ellie become a strong mature woman who built a business in Ireland and then came to the US when her husband died and created a large charitable organization to help families affected by the Depression in New York. I was surprised that she left Ireland literally on the day of her husband's funeral. I found that a little oddly abrupt. But I liked that the book was not too predictable. I thought she might settle for man #1 when she got to New York, but she didn't. Then it seemed like she might settle for man #2 when she got to New York, but she didn't. I'm interested to see what happens to her in the third book.
