This is a book I take off of the shelf, open a page and read out loud, to who is with me, to the world, to no one in particular. I think, even if no one is listening, the words are strong enough to change the world. And then I pull out "I Sit Listening to the Wind"

I loved this book. Bought it back in 1990 when it first came out, while going through a period of depression. I felt the book helped me recognize the depression as something to honor in myself rather than to resist. Beautiful and affirming for women to learn of the goddess within.
A beautiful written and affirming book. Allowing women to question the transitions in their lives and how they may have viewed them differently had they not felt alone, but supported in their experiences,.. experiences that we all share. I have collected additional copies of this book to gift to other women in my life. Highly recommended reading!
