I haven't read a Peter Lovesey book in quite some time. This is because I've read most of his novels and have the last in a long series of "Peter Diamond" books on my WL. But there are a few stand alone novels, and even a few very short series to choose from too.
"The Circle" is the first in a two-book series, and "Peter Diamond" actually makes a cameo appearance in it. As with the "Peter Diamond" books, I found this one to be a page turner.
Lovesey has also written two short series which take place in the 19th century. I must admit to not liking them anywhere near as much as I did the "Peter Diamond" books. In fact, I don't think I finished either series.
