I can't decide if I should rate this is the BEST of Donna VanLiere's Christmas Books. I have just re-read the first three and then the last two, including this, for the first time. I was pleasantly suprised with this because of all the characters the made a reappearance and the connections between everyone. It makes the holiday season feel more special and heart warming. Don't wait til Christmas, read this now!

This is one of the most beautiful, sweet and touching Christmas stories I ever read and I've read a lot! I just adored all of the whimsy and the chance meetings of the characters as yet unknown to each other. I completely loved, loved, loved this book!

If you are looking for an uplifting story, this book is for you. The main character's life pretty much stinks. If something can go wrong for her, it does. The author really makes you feel for Christine. No matter how bad things get and how little she has, she's willing to share, help, and befriend the people she meets through her job as a waitress. I like how the author had several story lines going at the same time and how all of the characters are connected to each other without realizing it. This is a quick and fulfilling read. It is somewhat predictable, but I didn't mind that. I really liked the characters, Gloria and Miriam. They are hilarious. This is the first book that I have read by this author. I plan on reading the rest. You don't have to read the other books by her before reading this one. This story isn't tied to the Christmas Shoes series. Enjoy!
It was a fast read and very enjoyable during the holidays.
One of the mysteries is never solved, so you do believe in miracles.
Predictable but sweet and a fast read.
One of my favorite things during the holidays is to read a touching and inspiring Christmas book. This was my first book by VanLiere. I will eagerly await a new Christmas release from this author next year and will go back and read the ones I have missed. The book is centered around the stressful life of Christine, a divorced mother of two. She is struggling to pay bills while enduring the harassment of a bitter, worthless ex-husband. She saves the life of stranger one day which creates a series of events that sets her life on a new path. A heart-warming story about surviving life's struggles and finding happily ever after. This is a great story about a poor single mom with 2 kids.
