What a wonderful Christmas story! I've loved all of the author's Christmas stories that I've read and this one is no exception. It is also an excellent women's fiction book. I highly recommend this novel.

I love Donna VanLiere's Christmas books! They are all exceptional! The Christmas Note is full of happy Christmas surprises which I love! It also is set in the same town as The Christmas Secret so it has a lot of the same loveable characters. Lovely story!

This is set around Christmastime, but can easily be read during any season (like I did). Gretchen moves closer to her mom after her husband gets into a terrible military accident. Melissa lives next to Gretchen but seems cold and out of it because of bitterness towards her own mother. Both women's perspectives alternate throughout the book. At times I felt like parts of the story randomly added something that seemed to not make sense, but their quick fixes worked out. At times it was a little cheesy, other times very heartfelt, and still other times powerful and miraculous. I read this in a day and suggest giving it a shot if you like cute Christmas tales with a faith base.
my neighbor gave it to me. ho-hum book. easy read. but it was boring to me.
