Since I am in my mid sixties, I related to many of the experiences of the writers whether observed or close to my own. In my opinion, it captures the past and often times the path of life itself.
Letters between three generations of women, beginning in 1944 and ending in the '90's.
I expected a sweet little book about Christmas-but this is more-it starts out in the 40's-a young wife with a new baby, husband at war, and proceeds from there. The end took me a little by surprise, but what happens at the end happen all the time, sadly. I enjoyed this, it was a very refreshing and quick read.
A little book that shows what the real meaning of Christmas is about - making time to spend with your family, especially your children. Easy, quick read - I do recommend it.
