Great love story! One of my favorites...sure wish I could find a guy like Erik!
Giving up on Baltimore and love after she catches her boyfriend with another woman, Dr. Sydney Fletcher heads for the Maine village of Misty Harbor to set up a new practice. But when hunky fisherman Erik Olsen's grandfather, Hans, begins showing signs of Alzheimer's, Sydney reluctantly agrees to pose as Erik's girlfriend so that she can observe Hans's behavior more easily. At the same time, Erik's twin brother, Gunnar, is attracted to single mother Maggie Pierce, another woman who has lost her trust in men and her faith in herself. Both romances evolve charmingly, resolving themselves just in time for Christmas, much to the delight of the couples' respective families. Dual love stories are not always easy to pull off, but Evanick does a credible job of interweaving the tales without confusing the reader. Evanick (Catch of the Day) has written a number of light, humorous romances and lives in Reinholds, PA.

After she caught her live-in boyfriend in the arms of another woman, Dr. Sydney Fletcher packed up her life, moved to charming Misty Harbor--and quickly made an early New Year's resolution: No more falling in love. Period. But she's barely hung her stockings by the chimney with care when her resolve is sorely tested by the rugged charms of Erik Olsen. The handsome fisherman with the blue eyes is exactly the sort of entanglement Sydney has vowed to steer clear of. Still, when he asks her come to around now and then to tend to his ailing grandfather, it seems downright Scroogish to say no, especially when Erik promises to repay her kindness with a traditional Norwegian Christmas celebration--a promise sealed with a very merry kiss. Now, with the Christmas Eve Festival of Lights fast approaching, Sydney must decide if she's willing to take a chance and give Erik the most precious gift of all--her heart........

Welcome to Misty Harbor, Maine! Life is a little different here-slower, calmer, a bit less hectic than you may be used to. But don't worry, you'll fit right in. Just pour yourself some eggnog, curl up by the fire, and settle in for a long winter's night. Christmas is coming-and there's love in the air.....

Excellent romance! Story of twin Norseman, Erik and Gunnar Olsen in Maine and the women they love.
I really liked this book. I had read all the Misty Harbor books except this one and Catch of the Day as they are not available any more. I was so excited when I found BOTH of them here on this site. Read this one in 2 days. It's just a feel good type of book - small community, everyone knows everyone and where people find "The One". I'd love to live in a Misty Harbor town....and find a man like Erik!
