There was no real romantic connection between Jack and Abby; the relationship frankly, sucked. Jack was nasty to her at times and her character is a classic for making excuses for bad behavior. The "mystery" was easy to solve and secondary characters a little shallow. The bad guy had more depth than the rest of them.
