Wonderful, wonderful little book.

Under the story, it tells of working for what you want, laboring for it. (Something children don't think to do now days.) Also talks about people in the community being kind, and in return for their kindness this little girl works (again) to do the same for another. To be able to show the same kindness, that was shown to her, to another. (A selfless character.)

I love the old books! For so often under the story line, there is teaching about being kind, about giving yourself for another. Morals, character. We need to hear more of that, teach more of that to our children.

A nice story! We read it a lot.

Great pictures too!
