I read these many years ago and still have my copies. I love the characters. The series covers a span of generations and is basically a good vs. bad with a twist. Great fantasy read. The characters have a "familiar" called a Lir and are able to assume the same shape as their Lir. The setting is medieval type.

I love this series! I named my daughter after one of the main characters, Keely.
