I had this book sitting on the bottom of my TBR pile since it came out around 1996. I was really into the concept of the new Star Wars novels and enjoyed reading them, until I ran into a few titles that I didn't care for like, Crystal Star, Truce at Bakura, and courtship of Princess Leia. I really didn't care to read any of the books with Han and Leia's kids in them. I don't know why I don't like them but I don't. So after getting burnt out on those three titles, I had no desire to read this one. I thought that with the title it was about Han and Leia's kids again. So it sat on the bottom of my TBR. Now over 10 years later I deciced to pick it up and was pleasantly surprised to find out that their kids are not part of this story and that this story was actually enjoyable. It had plenty of action to keep me interested. The only thing I didn't like was the way the author downplayed the Jedi abilities. I always looked at a MASTER JEDI as someone with superhumanly powers. In this one Luke was portrayed as someone that is pretty much a basic jedi, not as strong as I thought he should be. Still I liked the ending. I never saw it ending that way.
