A social worker breaks all the laws and takes a child found in the subway home with her. "Adam" is mute. They escape to the mountains to start a new life....and then the horrenous murders start. Good read.

To quote Stephen King...."Coyne goes as far as you can go...and then takes it a mile further."
Exciting, scary read. Evil lurks all around....from the subway tunnels under New York to the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina.
