This is a book of short stories by Maeve Binchy that was compiled by her husband and publisher after her death. I don't usually like short stories but I really enjoyed them very much. Looking forward to reading Maeve's Times in May and I would recommend this book to those who love short stories or reading about Ireland.

This is a delightful book of short stories. The stories are all centered around people who live on Chestnut Street in Dublin, Ireland at different times. Each story is about hope, love, new decisions, trials, etc. You just love all the characters. Maeve Binchy has a way of making characters come to life with each one having a different personality.

I am going to miss Maeve Binchy! What a gift to find a stack of short stories unpublished. These are pure Binchy. Her characterization is always spot on, whether I feel as though she has introduced me to someone (and I can't shake the feeling that she is real) or the character is so odd that I think, surely she must have taken this one from a real person. Binchy's parting gift, enjoy!

This book is as wonderful as was Maeve Binchy. I am sorry to learn of her passing and will miss her books. I have read them all.

Actually my sister read this and passed it on. She said it was good but that she got very confused with all the characters.
