She was old enough to know that facts of love

Chelsea's father had packed her off to London to distance her from the shock waves surrounding her mother's death. He couldn't have known that a further shock awaited her there...

It was bad enough that Chelsea's childhood idol didn't immediately recognise her. But she hadn't recognised him either! Lucas's capacity for love and laughter seemed to have disappeared.

Lucas might be years adead of Chelsea in experience, but as far as she was concerned, he couldn't know the first thing about love without realizing that you can't fight it--not when it's the real thing.

Carole Mortimer is always a good read.
