You either like Inspector Ghote, you don't, or you don't know him. If you fall into group three, this story of hanky-panky at the "most deplorable" of the outlying colleges of Bombay Univeristy is a good place to change all that. Chote isn't like any sleuth you've ever met and H.Rl.F. Keating isn't like any author you've ever met--funny, profound, and mysterious all at once.
