There were a lot of good pointers in here. Not everything is for everybody, but what was most effective about the book was that it got you thinking about some things you take for granted, and ways that you could be saving money instead. Some things seemed a bit hit-you-over-the-head obvious (e.g., take your skiing trips during offseason), but again, the point was to get you actively thinking about cheaper alternatives.
Most sections were very concise and offered a great starting point, some included recommended websites, where you could go on and explore on your own if you were so inclined. I learned a few new things, and even though there were a lot of common sense suggestions there as well -- it reminded me to think about them and put them into action.
