Sweet romance between a shy dog trainer more comfortable with her canine charges than people and a fun-loving, implusive hockey player who may need as much training as his rambunctious Newfoundland.

Cute story about Delilah, a New York dogwalker who suffer from social anxiety. She meets hockey player Jason Mitchell when she helps with his Newfounland Stanley. What follows is a sometimes sad, sometimes funny, sometimes hot story about when two opposite personalities meet, fall in love and then have to deal with those differences in a serious way. Follows the same formula as Martin's previous books and its nice that her previous characters make appearances here.

One side note I feel compelled to point out. Jason and Delilah meet on the corner of West 81st and Madison, which in Manhattan is impossible because Madison is on the East side of the city and does not cross with West 81st street. :)

Cute story. Some interaction with characters from other books in this series but easily read as a stand alone.

A Newfoundland named Stanley brings together a hockey player (who is focused on enjoying all the fun things single guys can do in New York) and a professional dog-walker (who is a bit of a homebody).

Not a bad read but you have to love hockey! I'll read more by this author for sure.

This is the first book in the series and it was just ok.
The male lead in this book is a total jerk and spends as much
time insulting the female lead as he does trying to be nice. If I ever
ran into a man that treated me this badly, I wouldn't stick around
to try to make it work. That being said the female lead is too weak
and self-involved.
If these two people could love each other half as much as they love
themselves it would have been a better read.
Thumbs down to self-absorbed, selfish and shallow people. They deserved
each other.

Jason, a hunky, professional hockey player for the NY Blades can not seem to train his giant dog, a sweet Neufoundland, named Stanley. Delilah Gould, a New York City dog walker, notices how Jason can not control his giant of a dog, and approached Jason with her unsolicited advice. In a nut shell, they meet, fall in love, but come among obstacles along the way.

A great book that keeps you from wanting to read more!

Another great story in this series. You don't have to be a hockey fan to love these books.
This one had a slightly different plot than the others.
Very enjoyable.
Nice beach/summer read.

Delilah is a dog trainer who meets up with an over-active dog named Stanley and his extra HOT owner Jason. This book book is great! Although, there were parts that I wanted to smack Delilah. She is somewhat nerotic when it comes to her dogs and her issues with her family. Over all the book is funny and good.

Light, fun read. This is the 4th in a series and the plot is the same in each. Opposites attract, get together, big blow up/break up, realize they can't live without each other. The baggage changes, but it is the same trip.

Not as good(but still fun), as the other books in the Blade Hockey Player series. This is the story of a cute dog walker and the new, hunky hockey team member. She is shy and introverted and he the opposite. So while opposites do attract, but will there be a happy ending.

An okay book in a series revolving around hockey players on a team called the New York Blades.

Chasing Stanley is about a dog walker named Delilah Gould who finds it easier to socialize with dogs than people, has a set of crazy parents, and a hilarious best friend named Marcus. The male lead is Jason Mitchell who is a newly traded hockey player for the Blades, is eager to prove himself to his coach Ty Gallagher (from Martin's book Body Check), and who also has a twin brother who also plays hockey professionally but for a rival team. Delilah and Jason meet in the park when Jason can't seem to control his dog Stanley. Then as Delilah helps Jason train Stan, a relationship develops between Jason and Delilah.. but they face continuous troubles in order to stay together.

... To be honest, this was not my favorite book out of the series and not really a great one in my opinion. Neither lead character were strong enough to get me interested though I had to keep reading to see what happened! The pacing was a bit off and the continuous "problems" played out the same way over and over, making it a tad boring. I didn't really feel the spark between the two main characters and for me, that's important.

I did like the hockey action though which is why I picked up the book in the first place. Having read a few of Martin's previous books in the series, I also enjoyed the mentions of Ty, Janna, Michael Dante, Teresa, and Gemma (and their children!), but other than that, I wouldn't really recommend this book. :/

When god trainer Delilah Gould spots a rambunctious Newfoundland disobeying orders, she can't help stepping in and teaching the gentle giant to heel. But it's his hunky owner she'd really like to teach a few tricks. Too bad he's clearly the untrainable kind.

Professional hockey player Jason Mitchell is thrilled when he's traded to the New York Blades-the team of his dreams. There's just one problem: his pooch isn't adjusting to the city life too well. Good thing he crosses paths with dog trainer Delilah Gould. At least that's what he thinks-until he realizes he's fallen for her.

Now with the season heating up, Jason realizes he'll have to score big-time to win the Stanley Cup and the woman who has tamed his dog and unleashed his heart.
