The author shows a lot of anger in her writing of this book and upon reading it you will discover why. The cruelties inflicted upon these children put the child welfare system, the school system, law enforcement and the town they grew up in to shame! This was a painful book to read, I felt helpless for these children and disgust for the adults in their life who did nothing to help them.I believe the author has a long road ahead of her before healing herself, if she ever can. Powerful reading.
