I really enjoyed this, I read it in less than two days. Good story and I'm eager to read the rest of the series! It was very touching at the end, and I had tears in my eyes, but in a good way!

Loads of fun here: Romance and mystery and adventure. What more can you ask? Janet Chapman does it all. Reads fast, keeps you turning the pages.

This a good series involving magic and family. This character reminded me a lot of Diana Gabaldon's James Fraser

I really enjoyed this book. This was the first book of this author that I read but I am very glad I tried this book. I laughed out loud at some parts and I cried at some parts. It was a very entertaining book and I'm coming back for more.

However fanciful, I really like time travel stories especially if they involve a Scot! This is a new series for me. A GR friend gave it a high rating so I am off and running. I like the H/H and look forward to reading the other characters' stories. There are seven books in all and they are all published. I don't have to wait a year for the next one; I can read them as one big novel.

Very interesting set of books, It said a triology but there is four books in the set.

Loved this book. #1 in the series; read #8 before I realized it was a series; now backtracking. Great series. Very interesting and historically accurate details.

So nice, I read it twice. Janet Chapman is one of the first "time travel" authors I read... this series, as a matter of fact. I kept seeing them come up on my home page and finally decided to grab book 1 again and see if it still delighted. It did! I love the way Chapman writes, and this one sets the stage well for the rest of the series. I'm excited to start them all over again!
