I wasn't a Jennifer Crusie fan, but then I read this book and I've sort of changed my mind. If I can find more of her books written like this one, I'd be happy! This was cute and short, I like them that way:)

Ok, so this wasn't my favorite Crusie by a long shot. But, a bad Crusie is better than most chick lit any day. This one seems fluffier and more mindless than the rest I've read, but still written with style and wit.
Helpful Score: 2
Crusie's books are good for a light read. Bring one to the beach or on a plane. Predictable and sappy...but fun!
Helpful Score: 2
Sassy romance with an underlying (and largely superfluous) mystery. Typical Crusie -- which means it's better than 90% of the other chicklit books out there!
Helpful Score: 2
light hearted, funny story. I read one of her books and then went ahead and bought a bunch, they really are humorous.
Helpful Score: 1
wicked sense of humor , keen insights into complexitites of modern relationships, and a way of making her characters seem genuine and her stories real...

Jennifer Cruise writes some really funny outrageous laugh your butt off books. This one tends to be more romantic, but still funny. I like that she always has some stray love starved dog in each of her books. If you find you didnt like this one try another of her books.

Highly entertainning, fast paced and great one liners. You can't go wrong with Jennifer Crusie.

This was my first Jennifer Crusie novel! I liked it a lot. I will be trying some of her other books out. It was a fun light read!

Anything by Jennifer Crusie, I love, but this one was a little hard to follow. It kind of skipped around, but by the end I was hooked!

Cute story..Made me laugh right out loud. What's not to love about Jennifer Crusie stories??

I really didn't expect to like this much, but it was great! Sexy!
This book was very fun and funny. I had many moments that I actually laughed out loud. Not as much of a Chick Lit book because there aren't really "problems" the main female role has to overcome. You get perspectives from both Allie and Charlie. It was a quick, enjoyable read, the characters were likable but human. Highly recommended.
Charlie is a unique person who is trying to decide what he wants to do with his life and he doesn't realize he is trying to decide what to do with his life! Funny!
I really enjoyed this one. The characters are well developed and fun to learn about!
a fun read
I finished this in one day. Really good read for a lazy summer day.
Typical Crusie book...hot romance, a bit of a mystery, a lot of laughs. I enjoyed it.
I loved this book! A modern romance with interesting characters. I can't wait to find more books by this author!
Entertaining, smart sassy, wit and romance.
Very cute book, will definitely read Crusie again. :)
This author never disappoints, and this book was a fun read. Very enjoyable.
Not my favorite Crusie book. Was okay, one of her older ones.
Jennifer Crusie never disappoints me with books full of laughs and romance.
Great book for someone needing an uplifting story of romance and careers.
Good book. Easy read.
Another fun total CHICK book! kept me entertained!
This book made me laugh out loud in parts. It's a really fast, fun read.
Again a great book by Crusie. If you are a little down on life, pick up a Crusie book and laugh out loud!
Quick read - good, fun story.
so funny. i read it about 3 times before i finally decided to put it on here. you won't be disappointed.
Another great book by Jennifer Crusie. Very quick read. Funny, romantic, sex, and even a little mystery all in one. How can you get any better?
Jennifer always writes great stories!
As usual Jennifer Crusie cracks me up. This was a very funny story set at a radio station. My favorite character was Allie's roommate Joe, he had all the best lines :)
Jennifer Cruisie is known mostly for writing light comedic romances. This is one of her earlier novels, and it sure fit that description! It's not a laugh out loud humor, more like a romantic comedy movie - or a romantic sit-com (with some steamy scenes that would never make it past the censors of any network except HBO or Showtime.). It wasn't all light though. Towards the end they managed to touch on some faily serious issues. And I totally loved all the scenes with the puppy. Even though I'm a cat person, that puppy melted my heart.
This book was an easy read and very enjoyable. Jennifer Cruise delivers!
Another delightful book by Jennifer Crusie. It's a perfect beach read...
Very good book. I am a huge fan of Jennifer cruise!
Great read - Crusie at her best - laugh out loud!!
Cute romance. Fun, light reading.
A woman falls in love with the radio DJ she is in charge of promoting. The plot is a little wobbly, but this book will definitely make you laugh. It is a quick read and you get attached to the lusty characters.
Plot Synopsis: Dumped by her boyfriend and dropped from WBBB's prime time, radio producer Allie McGuffey had nowhere to go but up. She planned to make temporary DJ Charlie Tenniel a household name -- despite his objections. Footloose Charlie shunned fame. He wanted to kick back, play good tunes, and make love to Allie -- despite her objections.
Throw in a little mystery, a lot of meddling townspeople, a little work sabotage ... and Allie and Charlie are hooked.
When you read older works by many authors, you can clearly see their development as authors -- their early works pale in comparison to their newer stuff. Crusie is an exception. Her older titles are delightful, full of sparkling wit and wonderful characters.
"Charlie All Night" contains all the great Crusie elements -- two sensational characters drawn together despite themselves, great witty banter, and marvelous and -original- sensual writing. Throw in some meddling secondary characters and a cute puppy who only drinks his milk to Billy Joel, and you have a hoot of a story.

Very good book
Dumped by her boyfriend and demoted from WBBB's prime-time spot, radio producer Allie has nowhere to go but up. She plans to make her comeback by turning temporary DJ Charlie into a household name. And if he's willing to help cure her breakup blues with a rebound fling, that's an added bonus. But suddenly their one-night stand becomes a four-week addiction. What is she going to do when he leaves?
A fun read.:-)
This is my favorite Crusie book. Despite the cover its about a radio station in trouble. I had a lot of fun with this one

Charlie just wants to kick back, play good tunes and eat Chinese food. He's not interested in becoming famous. But he is interested in Allie. And after all, what harm is a little chemistry between friends?
But suddenly their one-night stand has become a four-week addiction. Night after night on the airwaves, his voice seduces her....and all the other women in town. He's a hit. It looks as if Charlie's solved all Allie's problems...except one. What is she going to do when he leaves?

Great read for a short summer book - Laughed alot.
I just love Jennifer's books
A favorite novel by the beloved, bestselling author is back. Dumped and fired, radio producer Allie McGuffey has nowhere to go but up--and she's taking temporary DJ Charlie Tenniel with her. Charlie and Allie are soon falling into success--and into bed.
Dumped by her boyfriend and demoted from WBBB's prime time spot, radio producer Allie Mcfuffey has nowhere to go but up. She plans to make her comback by making DJ Charlie Tenniel into a household name. A great book
Predictable and short but still cute.
According to my mother....a very good romance....a very quick read.
One of the better Jennifer Crusie novels. Funny!!! Great beach read!
Fun read!
Really cute and fun quick read.
What an amazing book! It may only be 251 pages, but I loved every single one!
Crusie has yet to disappoint!
Very cute. Nice fast easy read.

I am a real Jennifer Crusie fan, and this is was a fun read.
Cute storry by Jennifer Cruise.
Fast good read
Wow. This is a borderline erotica book with a very flimsy storyline.

~ MY OPINION ~
CHARLIE ALL NIGHT is not my favorite Jennifer Crusie book and like a few of her other earlier ones feels more like a novella than a full-length novel. Regardless, it is an enjoyable read and very entertaining. The chemistry between Allie and Charlie is great and they have some fantastic dialogue, there are several humorous scenes, and the secondary characters are wonderful - especially Joe, Allie's gay roommate. All in all, the book is definitely worth checking out from the library (which is what I did).
In Charlie All Night, like in ANYONE BUT YOU, Crusie features a heroine who is both older than usually found in the genre (Allie is 36) and than the hero (though only by two years here - not the ten that separates the hero and heroine of Anyone But You).
My favorite Crusie books so far are: BET ME (5 stars - amazing!!), MANHUNTING (4 stars), and GETTING RID OF BRADLEY (4 stars). They are all both read- and buy-worthy!

Cute, fun read. I really like Crusie's books - just enough humor, sex, romance.
Witty, warm and one of her best. (I don't like her later ones at all)
Hilarious!
Funny and good read
This book is v e r y "light" reading. Indeed, I am willing to bet that "My Pet Goat" has a more arresting plotline and more interesting characters. Still, if you want to do some truly undemanding reading, this is about on a par with a really predictable sitcom. Now, I realize this is no way to sell a book, but I thought it only fair to warn you. My conscience is clear... :)
The radio station is playing musical chairs with the drive time producer. When she is reassigned to the late nite slot and a new DJ, she is determined to make him the new star of the radio company. But, Charlie has another agenda, and doesn't want to be a star. Charlie All Night is a cute story.
I loved this the humor in this one
