A traditional whodunit starring a fish-out-of-water detective. In this case it's Lexy Connor, a middle-aged Colorado software consultant who is pressed into service to help a lifelong friend who appears to be stalked by a killer. Lexy's friend Tally was adopted at birth under mysterious circumstances. A few clues related to that fact seem to hold the only possible reason someone might wish Tally harm. But how to unravel a complicated mystery with a genesis of more than 30 years? Lexy begins a quest that takes her and her beloved terrier from Los Angeles to Long Island digging into long-buried secrets that do indeed lead to treachery and danger for both women, as well as others we meet along the way.
Loved it. Some great characters.
A first novel, I enjoyed it. I am looking to see if more were forthcoming.
