This is the first newer style comic that I have read. Some call it millennial, SJW or PC comic, I was willing to give it a try. I am always looking for something new and I was interested to see the change that happened in the mainstream comics. I was not a fan. Though I have nothing against the characters themselves, it was the stories that I did not like. This might be more for the younger generation. I like my comics with a more subtle reference to issues. Like the older X-Men comics. You knew the issues of acceptance were there but there was also a story. There were a couple of parts that really stuck out as irritating to me. One was when they formed their "Champion" team, instead of a classic hero pose, they all pull out their phones and read hashtag comments. The other was when the team was in the woods at night and someone suggested telling "ghost stories", Viv, the Vision's daughter, said something like "ghosts are intangible, not alive, not human...is this a microaggression?" At this point I decided that I did not like the comic. Super Sensitive, in your face social justice issues in a comic is not for me. And no...this is not a political statement.
