Wonderful book. Lots of great history and interesting characters.
Been awhile since I've read this, but was pretty memorable, though not nearly as good as "Shadows...." or "Lords of...". As usual with Chadwick, meticulous historical details...The h, Monday was hard to like. Her goals were understandable considering her background, but were still too shallow to make her a really interesting or worthwhile character to know.
It might be becasue he wasn't as limited by social constrictions as Monday was, but I liked the H, Alexander. 'His' story made the book worth reading.
Side Note: The H was Alexander de Montroi not Stefan, as the book description states.
For a better description, read the one for the paperback version.
