I liked this book. I haven't read many m/m books but this was good. I would highly recommend that you read "Without Reservations" first though. I wish I would have. I liked how the characters grew and acted like real people. If you like m/m - I recommend this book.

An ok m/m story with several steamy scenes. It helps if you've read Without Reservations, the previous book in the series by J.L. Langley, although you won't be completely lost if you haven't read it. However, I think you'll understand the characters a lot better if you know what happened in the first book.

This is the story of Remi and Jake who are both wolf-shifters. Jake knows Remi is his mate, but has been unwilling to reveal that news. This was covered in the first book. Well in this book, that bit of news is revealed to Remi. I enjoyed With Caution, but the first book is so much better. With Caution is much darker with a lot of references to childhood abuse. There's also some very mild BDSM, and I don't mind that, but it seemed out of place in this story. The equality between the two characters, the humor and light-hearted interactions that existed between the m/m couple featured in the first book doesn't exist between the two m/m characters in this book. Also, Remi's character undergoes a dramatic change in this book. That's my biggest problem with this book. If you haven't read the first book, you might not realize how extreme the character change is. But if you've read the first book, the Remi there and here are nothing alike. He's almost unrecognizable as the homophobic character in the first book. The author went overboard with the backstory for Remi. She basically emasculated his strong, dominant character. She made him much more feminine than he needed to be and was in the first book. The pairing between Jake and Remi would have worked much better, and would have been more interesting, had she kept to Remi's original homophobic tendencies and shown his gradual growth away from that. Remi was feminized to such an extent that he could have been a woman which is pointless in an m/m romance. While I can't part with the first book (it's a keeper), this book is easy enough to give away.
