"Caught Up in the Rapture" is the story of Lisa and Jack, the best friends of Caroline and Brian in "At Last". In "At Last", Caroline and Brian try to "fix up" both their best friends - Lisa and Jack - on a blind date. Neither is interested in a blind date. Fast forward to "Caught Up in the Rapture" where Lisa and "Jacques" meet in a restaurant in Paris. The attraction is instant and they spend three days together in Paris experiencing incredible sex. Neither wants a relationship and expect to never meet again. Afterall, Lisa believes that Jacques in a Frenchman who lives in Paris and Jack doesn't know Lisa's last name nor that she is, in fact, from Chicago where he actually lives. You can imagine the surprise, but not the anger, when Lisa and Jack meet in Chicago and realize their best friends are Caroline and Brian. "Caught Up in the Rapture" continues the theme of "self hatred" and racism in the African American race. The author explores the issue with sensitivity and realism. The love scenes are steamy and the suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat. I thoroughly enjoyed the book.

This is a romantic tale, you also get an update on Brian and Caroline from Ms. Riley's previous title "At Last".

This was a wonderful romantic tale. I love the fact that a french man was involved in this one it gave it a different flare.
A much better read than the first book At Last...I truly ENJOYED the HEATED attraction between Jack & Tracy...seems like there should be another book I felt there were quite a few loose ends left "untied"...but just MHO.
