Not her best.

Tedious and really not her best.
The lack of a storyline other than Thea saying how much she didn't want to marry Conner and saying in her head how much she did was annoying after 100 pages.
It was a VERY long carriage ride.

I do so love unrequited love themes, but this one annoyed rather than charmed me. I didn't care that Connor, though he may not have been in love with Thea, insisted that he knew that he was the better man for her. His manipulations to derail her elopement were frustrating rather than amusing. But Thea was no fool. She saw through his machinations, yet still, she struggled to resist his stolen kisses, which only encouraged Connor. Overall, I just didn't feel that Connor deserved Thea, and his I-know-you-better-than-you-do attitude sapped the romance out of what could have been a much more satisfying read. 3.5 stars.
Loved this story.
