Doreen Tovey is one of my favorite authors. She has the most interesting Siamese cats. They tear carpet down the stairs as fast as she and her husband tack it down, Their cats eat holes wool garments. They steal her cream puffs. They will not eat commercial canned or bagged cat food. She must buy fresh meat and cook it for the. She loves animals and moves on a farm in England so that she can raise animals and what a fun menagerie her home is.

Lovely to spend time again with Doreen and Charles, Solomon and Sheba. Fun tales of some of the other pets they had, including Blondin who was mentioned in Cats in the Belfrey. Cats in the Belfrey had a few more side-splitting moments I think but there's plenty of laughs in this one too. It may have been written 60 years ago but it seems just as fresh today, you can visualize the country and their odd little house, all the characters are so vivid.
