I loved this book. Watching season one of the Tudors on DVD, I became enamored with the character of Catherine of Aragon, as played by Maria Kennedy (I believe she won an award for her performance). What an admirable woman Catherine of Aragon was, putting up with so much hardship, and yet remaining both true to her husband and to her own conscience, as she stood up for the validity of her marriage and her religion. Garrett Mattingly presents a very readable biography of this inspiring woman, and her times.
