Yes, the second book kept me hooked like the first! I am extremely glad to have read the series and when done with the second book wanted to jump right into the third.
There is still the triangular problem with Katniss, Peeta and Gale. (If you can't tell from the Book Wiki.) However, there are also two major surprises that shock the even more involved characters. Sorry, can't say what they are since these are relatively short books for teens. Nevertheless, despite the sadness and/or seriousness of the overall plot, there is good writing and some really humorous parts too.
Enjoy!
