From the back of the book:

Jillan Greene is always getting caught int he act--it's her job! Working at Catch a Mate, Jillian gets paid by suspicious wives to smile, flirt and prove that no man can be trusted around the opposite sex. Her only ground rule? She never gets physical. Until a heart-stoppingly gorgeous male walks in...
Marcus Brody has just been hired as bait to test female fidelity. But the last thing Jillian needs is a partner...especially an infuriating, irresistible man who's got her fantasizing about tearing off his clothes.
Can a savvy modern woman find happiness with the most tempting man she's ever known? Is there such a thing as a totally monogomous male?

Really enjoyed this book. The book synopsis leaves a little to be desired, there is certainly more to this story than just what that blurb describes. There is a main story and a secondary which, to me, didn't detract from the main plot. Liked both characters-both had believed reasons for feeling how they did regarding the opposite sex. I particularly enjoyed the verbal sparring playing out as foreplay=)

I haven't met a book by Gena Showalter that I haven't liked so if you feel the same you'll certainly enjoy this book. There are a good supply of secondary characters from which future books can be written too.

Really the funniest book I've read in a while - NOT at all about hating men, it's a funny and tender love story not to be missed.

This book was so much fun. The characters were great and the dialog was laugh out loud funny often. The sex scenes were super steamy without being trashy. All in all, I would highly recommend this book. I can't wait to read some other things by this author!

I really enjoyed this book. While the storyline premise might not seem to appeal to some people, myself being a bit of a skeptic in the begining, it was one of the top reads I have swapped. I plan on adding her upcoming Lords Of the Underworld trilogy to my wish list as it comes out this Spring/Summer 08. While it seems everyone is writing a paranormal romance these days I am certain her's will be apart from the norm and a delicous read.

I'm a huge fan of Gena Showalter's paranormal romances, but wasn't sure I'd like reading something she'd written in a different genre. Catch A Mate, however, did not disappoint. It was every bit as good (if not better) than her other books. I read it in one day--couldn't put it down. Great characters, well written and thoroughly enjoyable, this book made me laugh and cry, made me fall in love. There should be sequels! Lots of them! Take a chance on this little gem. You won't be disappointed.

A wonderful read with a perfect mix of humor and drama. There is sure to be something for everyone. Family troubles, trust issues, insecurities, heart break, true love, forgiveness, new beginnings, the list goes on. Gena Showalter is a amazing writer and a wonderful story teller. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a contemporary romance novel.
