This is for someone who really, really likes cats. Cats are okay, IMHO, and I like a good story, but I didn't finish this one. I found the "sub-dialogue" going on between the cats annoying and distracting. It's easy enough to tell which dialogue is the cats' and which is the humans'; the cats' words are italicized.

If you like animals, especially cats, and mysteries, this is a great book to read.

I just love these books about Harry & pets. It seems to me like for such a small town, they have a lot of murders. This one is no different. Miranda's hubcaps are stolen & this starts a chain of events that leads Harry to finding a lot of money in the safe of a murdered taxidermist.

Another visit back to Crozet, VA, and Miss Murphy and friends help Harry solve another crime. When will Fair see the light and return to Harry?
Once again Mrs. Murphy, Pewter & Tee have to save the day. Another great book from Sneaky Pie (and Rita).
When an out-of-towner steals Miranda's hubcaps from her beloved Ford Falcon that turn up at the local scrap yard in short order then he turns up hanging in a tree, can these incidents be related?
When Roger O'Bannon quietly dies at a gathering at Big Mim's party, is it of natural causes or something more sinister?
When Mary Minor Haristeen (Harry) is setup on a blind date with Diego by her less-than number one friend BoomBoom, will love blossom or will Fair Haristeen (Harry's ex-husband) finally decide he has competition in trying to win his ex-wife back?
Mrs. Murphy, Tucker, and Pewter must learn the truth before Harry finds herself in mortal danger.
What does the local taxidermist have to do with a half million in cash found neatly stacked in his safe after he was murdered along a road?
Many twists, turns, and an unexpected ending follows true to the previous books of the Mrs. Murphy mysteries.
An easy read that keeps the reader engrossed from cover to cover.

Part of the Sneaky Pie Brown Mrs. Murphy series. Great light reads.
My first Rita Mae Brown and Sneaky Pie Brown book. I enjoyed it and will have to search out her other mysteries. I enjoyed the animals bickering!

Funny book. Will be enjoyed by cat lovers and anyone who enjoys a good book.
A Mrs. Murphy mystery as wonderful and full of romance and small town life as usual.
