Michael M. (fbdugan) reviewed Castro's Final Hour: The Secret Story Behind the Coming Downfall of Communist Cuba on + 7 more book reviews
This is a well-researched, objective and still sympathetic account of life in Cuba during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Amazing revelations of behind-the-scenes intrigue and personal portraits abound, and the reader gets to see, smell, feel and taste Cuban reality as lived by the participants. As a prophetic work, it obviously falls short--the Castro brothers and the Revolution, aged and tattered as they may be, are still with us.
