I found the book to be well written and intriguing. It really made me feel emotions about all the characters whom I would describe as uppity gluttonous back-stabbing friends who are only interested in engaging in extramarital affairs with each other's spouses. I didn't like the characters but appreciate how the author made me feel such dislike of them.

This book was so good I listened to it, my husband listened to it and my girlfriend.I liked it so much I search for this author. Written so life like it will surprise you, good right until the end.

How to describe this book...not well written but she's a good storyteller, which keeps you listening. I was put off by the 'cleverness' of the characters' names (Florabelle, Chloe, Finn, Phoebe ad infinitum) and Hilderbrand is prone to cliches. But I love Nantucket, where the story takes place, and the conflict described in the first chapter isn't resolved until the end of the book, which keeps the reader/listener guessing. Sad to say that the resolution was not that satisfying to me.
