This is a book written almost all factually. Gitta Sereny does not put in her opinion. This is very well written. It tells the story, period. Easy to read.

This edition contains a new preface by the author as well as her account of the death of James Bulger.

From the back...
'Gitta Sereny's clear and readble book will help many people to make sense of the story...She also draws out the lessons to be learned both by professional workers, and and by society at large.'
