A good story that had me guessing and fooled me at the end. In telling the tale, the authors wrote a great deal about math functions and prime numbers--and it always amazes me that they can research and speak so authoratively about the subject. But the real question is, who done it? And it was not whom you might suspect. Setting is Lake Tahoe mostly, with a quick trip to Germany. This was a good read about a gutsy female attorney who does not give up.

Just okay.. had a hard time finishing this one.. although the end was quite surprising..
Nina Reilly is investigating a cold case in Tahoe that involves casinos, a university, a brilliant but unstable math student & the shooter.
I always love O'Shaughnessy books. Think I've read every one.
This is yet another chapter in Nina Reilly's life and allows you to see more of her history with Kurt Scott, the father of her son.

This is a must read. The ongoing troubles with Nina Reilly and her family. This takes her from Tahoe to Germany and other states. But in the end she solves the murder in her own way.
latest in series starring Nina Reilly. The father of her son features largely in this book, she has broken up with Paul who has moved on to another girlfriend. Strong plot, although a little heavy handed on the mathematics...which is part of the storyline. Highly recommended.
It seems like I start most of my reviews with the phrase"I loved". But Peri O"Shaughnessy has been one of my favorite authors since I read the first Nina O Reilly book. Another winner. Just a thought, I think Sandra Bullock would make a good Nina, if they ever made a movie.
Really like nina Reilly and this book is 1 of the better written books by O'Shaugnessy

O'Shaughnessy's most ambitious and best to date ~ really takes you on a ride that leaves you breathless.
Attorney and single mom Nina O'Reilly is back in South Lake Tahoe after breaking off a long relationship. Her current client is a heartbroken man whose wife was killed by a stray bullet during a robbery. The robbery victims - who didn't stay around to testify -were three MIT grad students who have the numbers skills to beat blackjack at the casinos. There is a sometimes overwhelming amount of esoteric trivia about pure mathematics in this story, a lot of which I think could have been ommitted without damaging the plot or the character development. Elliott is a weird guy; we get it... I've read most of the 'Nina' series, so it was fun to see where she might be going next in her sometimes chaotic life, but parts of this seemed clumsy, and depended on unlikely coincidences. The Perri O'Shaughnessy sister team has done better.

An O.K. read. Not one of Perry O'Shaughnessy's best. too much mathematic detail for the adverage reader. 3 stars
Oh, I love these authors...they write suspense and keep your interest throughout!
