A grand old-style English mystery by John Creasey, one of the most prolific mystery writers of the 20th century. A tangled web of old family skeletons and deceit lead to a series of murders where the clues mislead even the astute Inspector West for a season. I enjoy the ambiance and civility of the older British mysteries and this one grandly displayed both while weaving a very good tale.
