Great book! Good for a unit study on carpentry with real hands on experience...Daddy and son used it to make a work bench. Great introduction to hand carpentry tools. My son is 6-7 years old and pours over the photos on each page for hours daily. We are also using it for begining reading of content that intrests him. Good simple instruction, like practice driving nails...100 of them to get good at it. 2 boys and 1 girl are in each illustration.

Excellent book for young children to get introduced to carpentry. We had given our boys (6 and 7) tools and scrap wood but didn't really know how to get them started doing anything. This book helped us figure out the last couple tools they really needed and within days they had built themselves big tugboats ready for a run down our creek.
