From Library Journal
Feline and canine geriatric care normally earns only brief mention or a small chapter in most pet-care books. It is the entire subject of this book. The authors define the special dietary and health requirements for older pets; discuss the relationship between owner, veterinarian, and pet; and cover physical and emotional changes and hazards. They also offer suggestions on how to improve the pet's environment to eliminate potential problems. Their advice on medications and homeopathic therapy is sound and not often found in general pet guides. While the writing at times lacks precision and style, the book's simple, helpful sketches and thorough, thoughtful information will fill a gap in most pet care collections.
