I haven't read much by Johanna Lindsey, but this is my favorite of her books so far. The characters are likeable, and the plot kept me interested and amused. I didn't get swept away by the sexual chemistry between Christina and Phillip, but I still enjoyed the read--I even thought about keeping this one and reading it again, but I've got too many other books I want to read right now. :)

I have all her books in hard back but 2, There is nothing better on a rainy night than a warm cosy fire and a Johanna Lidsey Book. They are must reads all of them over and over again.
It's a Lindsay...woman finds love with a desert sheik
Don't Miss This Book - great reading.
Really good love story w. a happy-ever-after ending!
Not a traditional story in any sense, but intriging &
suspenseful. Hero & Heroine have to endure quite alot
& work really hard to end up together in the end.

Christina Wakefield was willful, then she met a desert sheik that changed everything.
It is a very good book, it keeps ya turning the pages until the end.
She writes great and there is humor and suspense and all the stuff that makes a good book.

I'm not a big fan of romance novels, but my cousin told me to read it since it had Arab characters and I'm sort of an Arabic language and culture enthusiast and it was actually a really good story.
Excellent, if not entirely believable story, interesting characters, a nice fairy tale type story.
Loved it - read it twice!!
The call of excitement draws beautiful Christina to the mysterious Arabian desert. But destiny imprisons her in the powerful arms of Sheik Abu-the handsome and arrogant adventurer she had known in England as Philip Caxton. I was a really good read.
It's a great story. Of course it's been done before. At least as far back as the silent movies when Rudolf Valentino made The Sheik. But it launched Lindsey's career and is still my favorite of her books.
if you love stories of love forbidden between a native american and a white captive you'll love this one
Oh my, this was one of the lamest books ever! I was rolling my eyes the whole time. The premise had promise, so I was so disappointed with how she worked it out. I'm hoping this was her very first book, since I love the Mallory series.
The irresistible call of adventure brings lovely Christina Wakefield to the alluring Arabian desert. But fate imprisons her after she encounters Sheik Abu, the strikingly handsome though arrogant adventurer, whom she had known in England as Philip Caxton.
Once Christina had rejected Philip's fervent offer of marriage. But now she is to be his slave--desperate for the freedoms denied her...yet weakened by her heart's blazing desire to willing explore her virile captor's most sensuous cravings.
