I hated this one!
I have never read such a boring book!
Mr. Grisham, please stick to your great legal thrillers.

I enjoyed this sequel to Camino Island. Agree with other reviewers that it is a relatively simple plot, but the story flows well from beginning to end. A departure from the usual Grisham novel.

Not one of Grisham's best works. The characters were undeveloped and none were people you could really care about. The plot was linear and predictable and I felt he used a lot of caricatures and stereotypes when he talked about the investigators. In fact, all of the law enforcement people were made out to be uncaring and bumbling.

Not Grisham's best, but still enjoyable. Murder mystery. Writer is killed during a Hurricane to keep his upcoming novel from being published as it uncovers a major Medicare fraud.

Wow - Another Great Grisham Novel! His writing grabs you on page one and holds on until the very end! Great characters, story, plot line, excitement, intrigue...everything!

I am addicted to John Grisham's legal thrillers.

This book is not a legal thriller. Fans will be disappointed.

As a view into the world of authors, agents, booksellers,and publishers it serves as an introductory course given by a jaded old professor.

As an expose' of the nursing home industry and its darker practices it could be a one hour feature on television.

As a critique of local, state, and federal law enforcement capabilities it is superficial and negative.

For residents of Amelia Island, nicely fictionalized by the author, it will make them hope a Cat 4 storm never hits anywhere near them.

As you can see, I don't know where to put this book in the broad canvas of Grisham's work. I have enjoyed his other departures from his primary best sellers; but this one???

The plot is a bit simplistic and it is slow to get started, but from the midpoint of the novel on, you are treated to the kind of shenanigans that Grisham is famous for.
