There's a warm spot in my heart for Callahan's old saloon. This book brought back so many memories from my SF days in the 1970s-80s. Add to this is the fact that Key West is one of my favorite places on the planet and you've got a 5 star review!
Callahan and his crew return. Universe is in danger, they save it. Lots of crazy happenings along the way. I love Callahan.
Crazy book! lots of drugs, sex and rock and roll AND mind blowing perspective on Love, science and resurrection. Despite all this this bunch of left over hippies get to save the world from unwitting Establishment screwup.
Quite a few laughs!

Too much time spent on narrating a fairly boring trip to south Florida. No science fiction until well over half way through the book. Chapter quotes from former Vice President Quayle add nothing to the book.
I've read them all. I read some of the stories when ANALOG first ran them before they were sold as books. The originals were good, even great. This one sucks. It was a complete disappointment in almost every way. The gang goes to DISNEYWORLD for sights sake and when they damage something they literally throw money at the problem.
I bought it new and hated that, don't swap a perfectly good PBS book credit for this one.
Should have been titled "SPIDER SELLS OUT"...
