I have not often read a book that leaves me disliking both the hero(s) and the heroine(s). This little gem managed to accomplish that, though, with not much effort.

First we have Abby, a heroine so vapid I am constantly surprised she does not need to be reminded to breathe from time to time. She spends 9/10ths of the book wandering around confused, helpless and clueless. She is settled into her new home within the Witness Protection Program for less than 48 hours when she outs herself to not one but four men. These men then take it upon themselves to all move into her house with her (for protection!) and she's just mildly befuddled about it.

Speaking of the men...way, way too aggressive to make them in the least bit likeable. That they walked all over Abby isn't really surprising. She isn't exactly the brightest bulb. It's their aggressiveness toward one another that makes them entirely unsympathetic. One of the other reviewers mentioned the gang-bang scene. This scene was disturbing in part because Abby didn't so much as go along with it as just become too confused to try to do anything about it, but mostly because of the way one guy finishes, another rips him off, finishes, and so on, all the while beating each other bloody and destroying her house.

I really liked this book. The story was great, the characters were believable and it kept my interest. This is definitely a must read book.
