This is the second book in a 2 book series. The first was this books hero's brother Rafe, in "Once upon A Dream". I own my copies of these 2 books and still want to reread. ThisWith a shadowy past and only dreams for her future, Meggie Bloom was tending the lost souls at Woodbridge Sanitarium when the handsome stranger's cobalt gaze awakened her to a woman's desire. Suddenly the mind-reading gifts that made Meggie an outcast deserted her. She couldn't read Lord Hugo Montagu, yet he haunted her dreams. Then he magically returned to offer her freedom--if she would become his wife....
Marriage was unthinkable for the notorious rake Hugo Montagu--until he lost everything on a bet. Meggie Bloom didn't know she was about to inherit a fortune. But he did. Nothing could have prepared him for the deep passions and surprising mysteries Meggie's innocence would unlock in him. But could an extraordinary woman's love transform him into a man of honor and make him worthy of a wife who could see into his soul, make him believe in the impossible and...
was even better than the first book although both are good stories.

Light and fun historical romance, which I would recommend for fans of the genre looking for a happy, easy read. The supporting characters are really good, especially Meggie's eccentric aunts! The description makes it sound darker than it is - I found this to be a sweet story.

The final book of the trilogy, but could certainly be read as a stand alone (I've read only #2 & 3 with no problems). Perhaps not quite as good as #2, but still a great read. Humor, hot romantic scenes. Yes, Hugo is petulant and irresponsible, but I still kind of like him... he is maturing towards the end. I wish there was another though to wrap up their story ... what happens next? Is he able to stay on the right track? Fun read!
