This is a book I didn't want to like. To begin with, when I got the book I thought it was written by a man. In a man's thought process, for men, wilderness men. No, I had not read reviews about the author. Little did I know how much I would enjoy this book and the author. This is the third book for the same author IO have read and enjoyed.

This book, be it not a step by step, how to build a cabin book, takes the reader along her journey of making a home and building a cabin in the very remote Canadian coastal area in British Columbia.

This was another great book. I am so glad I waited to read this during the winter as much of the story line follows her winter trials. In the end this book was an unexpected enjoyable read.
