I purchased this book at a Goodwill for 10 cents because it sounded interesting. This is one of the best books I have ever read. This book is about a young girl who started out with the worst life possible and decided to do something about it. She becomes an Oprah type persona with a deep secret. The deep secret comes in the form of a Billy Graham persona who has his own secrets. The main character is a fighter and after all of the bad stuff that happens to her, you want her to get the revenge she so richly deserves without destroying the empire she's built for herself along the way. The main male character is a snake and you hope he gets what he deserves. This story was well written. The plot is full of unexpected twists and turns. It was difficult to put down. The characters are more than well developed and you feel a connection with each. I highly recommend this book.

I just read this book, and although it is not in the genre I usually read, I enjoyed it very much. There are two interconnected plots---one about a "house of pleasure" for women, and the other about a charismatic preacher similar to many going today who is thoroughly rotten underneath, and the effort for him to get what he deserves.

I was checking out the new books listed today and "Butterfly" was one. I read this book several years ago and it was so awesome! Great page turner and the characters actually "live" as if you were watching them play their roles. A must read!! Two Thumbs up!

I read this when it was first published back in 1988 & thought it was the steamiest book I'd ever read. And a great story too. I recently decided to read it again to see if my opinion f it had changed over the years, and it hasn't! This is one steamy novel with a great plot. Well done.

I read this book almost every summer since I got it 14 years ago. It is fantastic book that I can't put down whenever I read it. If only Kathryn Harvey wrote more books like it!!

This is a older book that I found in my Mother's closet. I almost didn't read it but found it very good. I am so glad I read it now.

Possibly one of my favorite books of all time. Bordering on erotica, this book takes the whorehouse to the other side of the fence. Men are now on sale after been trained in the arts of the bedroom. The emotions were realistically woven.

With the novelty of the men on sale instead of women, one might think that the book might lack in a solid plot but author Kathryn Harvey weaves the heart-engaging story of the woman behind the men and the corruption that she spends a lifetime to reveal to the world.

I loved the premise. I loved the characters. I loved the story. I loved how the plot wove so many different elements, people and events into one beautiful conceived and executed whole.

What a naughty book! Lots of sex...but I have to say it is written with very good taste, not offensive at all. In fact, I decided to read the sequel right away! The plot centers on a young girl who grows into adulthood with only one thing on her mind: revenge on the man who turned her into a prostitute and forced her to abort her baby when she was a helpless teen. There is a lot of suspense and intrigue as she plots and plans toward this goal. I liked the author's treatment of the subject and style of writing. Very mature content, but no foul language or crudeness in it.
