I thought I remembered liking this author many years ago but I found that I could not wait to get this book over with. Granted I did not stop in the middle, I tend to finish almost anything but it was only to give it a chance to change my mind. It did not. There were little pieces of good mixed with a large over view that was unbearable. the idea that this man would become "too Irish" and he did, that one minute she loved him and then he was devilish. The idea that we would identify with with this woman who was so blind to so much in her life left me wondering what the point of view really was. I think I found disturbing the things that were not supposed to be disturbing.
